Dorothy & June began in Charleston in 2004 with a simple belief:

A woman should never have to choose between feeling comfortable and looking beautiful.

At the time, we kept seeing the same problem. So many clothes seemed designed either to chase trends or to hide the woman wearing them. We wanted something different — pieces that felt easy, flattering and timeless. Clothes that could be worn to lunch with friends, a family gathering, a weekend away, church on Sunday, or simply an ordinary day that deserved to feel a little special.

So we opened Dorothy & June.

What began as a small Charleston boutique slowly became something much more meaningful to us.

Over the years, women came through our doors looking for dresses, tops, shoes and everyday pieces they could actually enjoy wearing. Many became familiar faces. Some brought their daughters. Others returned season after season. We heard stories about weddings, birthdays, holidays, grandchildren, new beginnings and all the little moments in between.

Those conversations shaped the way we chose every collection.

We were never interested in telling women how they should dress for their age. We simply wanted to offer pieces that helped them feel like themselves — comfortable, confident and beautifully put together.
